parallel lines

Parallel Lines - are two lines that lie on the same plane. No matter how you extend them, they will never meet.
I was lying on my bed last night when it suddenly struck me how similar we are to Parallel Lines. I always get compared to other people. I always hear things like, “She’s student council president.. She’s working while studying… She’s this.. She’s that…” But the reality is that, no matter how many times I get compared to others, I will never ever be this person or that person. I am who I am, there’s no way around it. One day, I wish that people will see me as me and not a shadow of someone else. Before that day comes, I will strive hard to be the best person that I could ever be. I will definitely overcome the odds. I may not be perfect, pretty, smart, and all that, but someday, one day, I can and will make a difference. Just you wait and see.

I understand what you mean.. and I feel like I’m in the same wavelength here only in a very much different situation. Acceptance from other people, especially by those we cared for, is the hardest challenge a person can face. You just have to be really strong.

People try hard to be unique in their own ways and yet still compared to other people.
Don’t mind them. Just be yourself and stay pretty =)

I totally get you.
And there are a lot of greater things about her compared to me but I’m proud to say that mas mabait ako. Haha. But I really hate those times. Times wherein I get compared with someone else. Which is most of the time brings my self-esteem to the dumpster. :faint:
Grabe. I always get compared with my younger sister because she’s taller than me and everything.
But yeah. We should all just try our best to ignore those things, because it can’t define us. They don’t have the right do define us or whatnot.
We should give it our all. In whatever it is that we do in our life. *grin*

ang hirap talaga po ng ganyan… lagi na lang tinitignan yun mga ginagawa mo kesa tignan yun loob mo… nakakalungkot man isipin na lahat ng tao ay dumadanas niyan at hinde na mawawala sa mga tao ang magisip ng kung anu-ano…. wag mo na po sila intindihin ibaba ka lang ng mga yan… gawin mo na lang ang sa tingin mo ay tama…

(1) Iba yung feeling ng kino-compare
(2) Pwede kang matuto. Para bang you’ll work harder diba para mahinto na ang pagccompare.

That’s definitely true. My parents are always comparing me to other people kids. I dislike it. No two people could ever be the same. There’s always differences.

i dont care wheter they compare me or not but all i say is “Hindi naman kasi ako siya” bwahaha! I dont care what other people say about me. Bahala sila, waw ha, parang celeb lang ikaw ! lol :angel:
